Techfast. What do you think?

Hey Gang:

I have been hearing that people are trying the techfast and staying away from their technology for a week. That's only stage one. Stage two is to replace it with activities that help you to develop spiritually. Prayer and study are great ways to fill and redeem the time. If you would like, we can organize a churchwide techfast. It would be fun to see how well we do when we remove the distractions from our lives

Power on!

Wow! We were without power on and off for 52 hours (48 hours in row). Our house dropped to 43 degrees at one point and we holed up in one end of the house where the gas heater kept the kids warm. Chere and I stayed in our own room under many covers. The bed was warm, but getting out took much will! God was gracious and restored our power and enthusiasm at about 8:20 Thursday night. Sorry we had to cancel Next Level. I hope you were able to see the cancellation on channel 8 (WISH), channel 13 (WTHR), and channel 5 (WTIU). You can start looking after 9:00 a.m. If I load it sooner it auto-dumps at 9:00 a.m. and I have to do it again.

We will be back at it next Wednesday (I hope). I still need more senior volunteers to lead discussions. I'm hoping to get our study off the ground this month. In the mean time, continue to be in prayer for our ministry.
We want to thank the Millers, the Davises and the MacKenzie's for their hospitality during our Progressive Dinner. It was great fun and delicious! Some creative gifts! Cole do you have any gumballs left? :)

I look forward to seeing you Sunday!

In Christ
